squenta is a card to pay as a group: everyone pays their share at checkout. A team from Lyon, one simple idea.
Why squenta
When you share a moment with others, money always tags along: someone fronts, someone counts, someone chases, someone pays back.
We believe a shared moment should never create debts. So we don't make paying back easier: we get rid of it.
Where the name comes from
"Squad" + "cuenta", Spanish for the bill. Hoping that one day, at a restaurant, people will say: "la squenta, por favor!"
The team
Ouriel Boiria-Lesaffre
CEO. An engineer by training, he ran Kinoba for seven years before squenta. He looks after the product, the partners and the company.
Grégoire Willmann
CTO. He builds the app and the payment platform. squenta is the third company he has founded with Ouriel.
Where we're at
The app launches in early 2027, starting in France. squenta is backed by Bpifrance through the Bourse French Tech grant.
